Graduate Frontend Engineer - React/TypeScript @Bitpanda

Overview

Bitpanda is a company focused on simplifying wealth creation and helping individuals achieve financial freedom. The Graduate Frontend Engineer will be part of the Onboarding & Activation team, contributing to user experiences that ensure new users transition smoothly into verified, active accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using React, NextJS, and TypeScript, collaborating with senior engineers to implement product and design concepts.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues, working with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and Backend Engineers to identify technical root causes.
• Contribute to the core codebase by writing modular UI components, managing state logic, and enhancing frontend flows.
• Adhere to high engineering standards by following coding guidelines and writing unit and integration tests using Jest and React Testing Library.
• Participate actively in code reviews, technical discussions, and team learning sessions to foster personal growth in engineering.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, including algorithms and object-oriented programming.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, React, and TypeScript from personal, open-source, or professional projects.
• Analytical thinker with a curious mindset and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Commitment to following engineering best practices and ensuring code quality through testing.
• Interest in cryptocurrency, fintech, stocks, or financial markets.
