    Role Overview

    Earthly Education is seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Operations to shape and lead the organization’s daily functioning.

    This remote leadership role involves coordinating systems, managing finances, supporting a distributed team across multiple time zones, and helping scale impact.

    Reporting to the Directors, the Head of Operations will act as a central figure in ensuring clarity, cohesion, and sustainability within the organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    Organizational Operations (45%)

    • Develop and implement operational strategies and procedures
    • Coordinate digital platforms, content workflows, and team collaboration
    • Monitor and set OKRs in collaboration with leadership

    Financial Management (20%)

    • Oversee budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation
    • Support hiring of financial staff or external CFO/bookkeeper

    People, Culture & Ways of Working (20%)

    • Foster a positive, transparent, and motivated organizational culture
    • Support hiring, team alignment, and development initiatives

    Contract & Deal Management (10%)

    • Negotiate and finalize contracts aligned with organizational goals

    Board Management & Meetings (5%)

    • Organize and prepare for board meetings and administration

    Candidate Profile

    Must-Haves

    • Passion for nature and social justice
    • Experience in operational leadership within growing organizations
    • Financial management expertise including budgeting and projections
    • Proven remote team leadership experience

    • Strong collaboration skills with founders and senior leaders
    • Knowledge of digital security best practices
    • Self-motivated with high emotional intelligence and problem-solving skills
    • Fluent in English

    Nice-to-Haves

    • Experience in climate and environmental sectors
    • Background in digital education or partnership building
    • Knowledge of climate science, ecology, or systemic change
    • Fundraising or donor relations experience
