Health Care Without Harm (HCWH) is seeking a part-time Technical Consultant to support programs in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Support identification, reduction, substitution, and elimination of problematic plastics in healthcare settings.
Incorporate chemical safety considerations into materials strategies.
Document and share best practices for safer plastic use.
Facilitate coordination of regional programs such as "Menos plástico, más salud" and "Menos huella, más salud".
Engage GGHH members through meetings, webinars, and collaborative initiatives.
Assist members with implementing procurement tools and criteria promoting safety and sustainability.
Strengthen chemical safety practices in healthcare facilities and support alignment with chemicals frameworks.
Collect and analyze data on plastics, chemicals, waste, and procurement.
Develop training materials and learning resources, documenting case studies and best practices.
Support the Menos huella, más salud awards process and develop stories highlighting achievements.

Background in health, environmental sciences, sustainability, engineering, chemistry, or related fields.
Experience in environmental management within healthcare settings.
Knowledge of plastics, chemicals of concern, and waste management.
Understanding of healthcare procurement processes.
Fluency in Spanish and proficiency in English.
Strong organizational, communication, and data analysis skills.
Ability to work independently in a virtual environment.

Experience with plastic reduction, sustainability initiatives, or healthcare supply chains.
Familiarity with circular economy principles and international frameworks (e.g., WHO, UNEP).
