Applications are now open for the IDEAS-TVET Initiative Cohort 3 Digital Media Production Training Programme, a six-month capacity-building opportunity implemented by PODBETA NG under a World Bank-supported initiative through the Federal Ministry of Education, Nigeria.

The programme is designed for young Nigerians who are passionate about media, storytelling, content creation, photography, videography, podcasting, and broader digital communications. It aims to equip participants with practical, industry-relevant skills that prepare them for careers in the creative and digital media sector.

The training is structured into two key phases. The first phase consists of three months of intensive, hands-on instruction delivered by experienced industry professionals from Nigeria and abroad. During this period, participants will be exposed to practical learning experiences covering core aspects of media production, content development, and digital storytelling.

The second phase involves a three-month internship placement, where trainees are embedded in media and production organizations. This placement allows participants to apply their skills in real-world professional environments, build portfolios, and gain valuable industry exposure.

Participants in the programme will also receive a monthly stipend throughout the training period, helping to support their basic needs while they focus on learning. Upon successful completion of both the training and internship phases, trainees will be awarded a certificate to recognize their participation and acquired competencies.

The opportunity is specifically open to interested candidates residing in Jos, Plateau State, where the training will take place at the PODBETA NG Training Centre located at 10 Akila Machunga Street, behind the National Library, Jos.

Applicants are expected to complete the official application form via the provided online link. Due to limited slots available, early application is strongly encouraged, as selection will be competitive.

Through this programme, PODBETA NG, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Education and development partners, seeks to strengthen youth employability in Nigeria’s growing creative industry while promoting practical skills development and job readiness in digital media production.
