    Overview

    This position offers professionals an opportunity to contribute to global migration governance and policy development as a Policy Officer (P-2) at the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Geneva, Switzerland.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support migration policy advisory services for IOM Country and Regional Offices.
    • Conduct policy analysis and coordinate expert inputs for migration policy development.
    • Support the implementation of the IOM Policy Agenda.
    • Coordinate priority migration policy processes with governments and regional offices.
    • Develop policy intelligence, strategic analysis, foresight, and evidence-based analytical products.
    • Support the implementation of the Migration Governance Indicators (MGI) and related data initiatives.
    • Coordinate national and local migration governance assessments.
    • Produce analytical reports and promote evidence-informed migration policymaking.
    • Draft high-quality policy papers, briefing notes, speeches, technical guidance, and strategic reports.
    • Promote collaboration across IOM Headquarters, Regional Offices, and Country Offices.
    • Support capacity-building initiatives, workshops, technical assistance, and government engagement.
    • Contribute to proposal development, donor reporting, partnership building, and fundraising opportunities.
    • Participate in international meetings, workshops, and technical consultations.

    Requirements

    • A Master’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Social Sciences, Law, or a related field with at least two years of relevant professional experience, or
    • A Bachelor’s degree in one of the above disciplines with at least four years of relevant professional experience.
