IsraAID is inviting experienced humanitarian and development professionals to apply for the position of Programme Manager – Regional Nutrition Programme, based in Nairobi, Kenya (Hybrid). The full-time role offers an opportunity to lead the implementation of a multi-country nutrition programme designed to strengthen community nutrition systems across East Africa while working closely with governments, UN agencies, NGOs, and regional partners.

The position is part of IsraAID’s Integrated Community Nutrition Management Programme, a regional initiative beginning in Kenya and Uganda with plans for future expansion across the region.

About the Regional Nutrition Programme

The Integrated Community Nutrition Management Programme is implemented in partnership with Edesia and a wide network of governments, United Nations agencies, community organizations, and development partners.

The programme addresses both acute and chronic malnutrition among:

• Children under five years
• Pregnant women
• Lactating mothers
• Other nutritionally vulnerable populations

Key programme components include:

• Community-based management of acute malnutrition
• Preventive nutrition services
• Community nutrition surveillance
• WASH rehabilitation
• School-based nutrition screening
• Caregiver education and support
• Digital Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) systems
• Nutrition supply chain strengthening
• Multi-sector referral pathways

Key Responsibilities

The Programme Manager will oversee the day-to-day coordination and delivery of the regional nutrition programme while ensuring implementation remains aligned across Kenya, Uganda, and future programme countries.

Primary responsibilities include:

Programme Management

• Coordinate regional programme implementation across multiple countries.
• Develop and monitor workplans, budgets, and implementation schedules.
• Track programme progress and resolve operational bottlenecks.
• Support programme scale-up and transition planning.
• Manage the full project lifecycle from planning through reporting and close-out.
• Develop concept notes, implementation plans, and programme materials.

Technical Coordination

• Support quality implementation of nutrition interventions.
• Coordinate integrated programming across nutrition, WASH, education, and protection.
• Ensure technical guidance, tools, and standard operating procedures are consistently applied.
• Promote evidence-based programme adaptation and continuous quality improvement.

Operations and Supply Chain

• Coordinate with logistics and procurement teams on nutrition commodities.
• Monitor supply chain performance and operational readiness.
• Track budgets, procurement activities, and programme resources.
• Support risk mitigation and operational planning.

MEAL and Reporting

• Collaborate with Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning teams.
• Produce timely donor and internal reports.
• Monitor programme performance using data and field feedback.
• Promote learning, documentation of best practices, and adaptive programme management.

Partnerships and Representation

• Coordinate with governments, implementing partners, donors, UN agencies, and community organizations.
• Represent IsraAID in programme coordination meetings.
• Strengthen partnerships that support effective programme delivery.

Risk and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies.
• Monitor programme risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Support country teams with structured programme management and decision-making.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants should possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health, International Development, Project Management, Social Sciences, Humanitarian Affairs, or a related discipline.
• Master’s degree is considered an advantage.

Required Experience

Candidates should have:

• Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in humanitarian or development programme management.
• Experience managing or coordinating nutrition or health programmes.
• Demonstrated experience in programme planning, implementation, reporting, and partner coordination.
• Experience working in complex humanitarian settings.

Desired Skills

Successful applicants should demonstrate:

• Strong project planning and coordination abilities.
• Budget monitoring and programme management skills.
• Experience working with MEAL systems.
• Knowledge of nutrition programming and integrated humanitarian interventions.
• Understanding of supply chain and logistics coordination.
