    Role Summary

    The GSO Assistant plays a key role in supporting the General Services Office by managing critical service areas such as Customer Service and Travel operations. The successful candidate will work closely with Assistant General Services Officers to ensure efficient service delivery to both locally employed staff and American direct hires, including their families.

    This role reports directly to the Supervisory General Services Officer (SGSO) and requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and organizational ability. Due to the sensitive nature of the role, candidates must be eligible to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide administrative and operational support across GSO functions
    • Coordinate travel arrangements and logistics for mission staff
    • Deliver high-quality customer service to internal stakeholders
    • Assist in procurement and compliance with U.S. government regulations
    • Maintain records and ensure adherence to administrative procedures
    • Support coordination with local authorities and service providers

    Requirements

    • A University Degree in fields such as Mathematics, Psychology, Law, Business Management, Communications, or a related discipline
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in logistics, procurement, project management, or administrative roles
    • At least 6 months of supervisory experience
    • Strong knowledge of administrative processes and office management
