Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring, tracking, and reconciling financial data for grants and contracts
- Preparing monthly budget-to-actual reports
- Maintaining budget integrity within the organization’s accounting system
- Supporting financial oversight of sub-awards and funding allocations
- Ensuring compliance with funder regulations and organizational policies
- Reconciling sub-award reports and verifying financial accuracy
- Preparing financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Assisting with audit preparation and financial statement development
- Identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of three years in a finance role within a non-profit or international development setting
- Experience with financial reconciliation and reporting
- Familiarity with enterprise-level accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong data analysis and financial reporting capabilities
- Knowledge of non-profit accounting standards such as GAAP or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication skills in English (written and verbal)
