has announced a recruitment event targeted at talented professionals from Nigeria for the position of Field Operator, with the work location based in Ras Laffan North, Qatar. The primary purpose of the role is to perform field operations across assigned facilities or units, depending on the candidate’s experience. These units may include Utility, Inlet Receiving, Sulphur Recovery, or LNG systems. The selected candidate will be responsible for monitoring equipment performance, maintaining operational processes within defined limits, and ensuring safe and reliable plant operations in accordance with standard procedures.

Key responsibilities include maintaining operational competency through on-the-job training and job rotation, operating field equipment in compliance with safety and operational procedures, and monitoring as well as logging all operating parameters. The Field Operator is also expected to report any irregularities to the immediate supervisor for timely resolution.

Additional duties involve preparing field equipment for maintenance, overseeing execution, and recommissioning equipment after maintenance activities. The role also requires strict adherence to Permit to Work (PTW) procedures, including participation in field audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Furthermore, the Field Operator will monitor site personnel and activities through regular safety walks, audits, and observation practices to ensure operational effectiveness and safety. The role includes providing first-line response during emergencies to minimize risks to personnel, assets, and the environment. Effective communication during shift handovers is essential, ensuring that incoming operators are fully briefed on the plant’s status and any significant events.

The position also involves collecting routine and special samples as directed and performing electrical isolation and de-isolation of low-voltage equipment in preparation for maintenance work, in line with approved procedures.

To qualify for the role, candidates must have completed secondary school education (12 years) and possess a vocational training programme certificate. Additionally, applicants should have a minimum of five years of operator experience within Utility, Inlet Receiving, Sulphur Recovery, or LNG facilities.
