    The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is offering an exceptional opportunity for early-career economists to join its prestigious Economics Department as a Junior Economist and Modeler in Paris, France. This full-time position places you at the heart of global economic policymaking, working alongside leading experts to shape policies that impact economies worldwide.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Contribute to the development of macroeconomic and structural models
    • Conduct quantitative analyses tailored to specific countries
    • Support policy recommendations based on empirical research
    • Assist in coordinating modelling work within the division
    • Provide technical guidance to research assistants and trainees
    • Draft analytical papers and reports for OECD committees and publications
    • Summarize findings from economic models and research
    • Gather and compile economic data
    • Ensure data quality, consistency, and comparability
    • Build professional networks with policymakers and researchers
    • Assist in organizing events and workshops

    Requirements

    • Advanced university degree in Economics; a PhD is an advantage
    • 1–2 years of experience in economic statistics, econometrics, or applied economic modeling
    • Strong knowledge of econometric techniques
    • Programming skills in Python and MATLAB; knowledge of R and Stata is advantageous
    • Fluency in English or French with a working knowledge of the other language (or willingness to learn)
