Lead Product Designer @Circle

Overview

Circle is building an AI-powered platform for digital businesses, enabling creators, coaches, educators, and businesses to engage their audience through various interactive features. The Lead Product Designer will own the design for a significant product area while collaborating with a fully remote team.

Key Responsibilities

• Own a product area end-to-end: identify opportunities, frame the problem, set design direction, and ship, operating as a peer to Product and Engineering.
• Design complex, multi-step product flows that balance creator needs against member experience.
• Prototype and test at speed using AI-assisted tools.
• Influence product strategy and contribute to roadmap conversations.
• Drive craft standards in interaction design and visual quality.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and design engineers to create shippable experiences.
• Raise the bar for the design team through feedback and shared frameworks.

Requirements

• Strong alignment with Circle's values.
• Excellent English proficiency (CEFR Level C2 or ILR Level 5).
• 5–7+ years of product design experience with evidence of shaping product direction.
• Experience as a senior designer on a product area.
• Strong prototyping skills, with experience in AI-assisted prototyping tools preferred.
• Proficiency in Figma for design and collaboration.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable designing in ambiguity and using AI tools in your design process.

Benefits

Circle offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $170,000 USD per year, equity in the company, and 35 days of paid time off each year. The role is remote, with opportunities for company retreats twice a year.
