Overview
Malteser International is seeking a Finance and Admin Assistant in Katsina, Nigeria. This position supports the financial and administrative needs in the area, working alongside the Country Office's Finance Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, including vouchers, receipts, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and process payment vouchers, ensuring compliance with financial policies and donor requirements.
- Support cash and bank transactions, including petty cash management, reconciliations, and cash counts.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and archiving financial documents.
- Provide general administrative support and manage correspondence.
- Support procurement and logistics processes, including vendor management.
- Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and assist in audit processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in an NGO or development sector.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
