    Overview

    The MHPSS & Protection Programme Manager will oversee implementation, monitoring, and management of mental health, psychosocial support, and protection programs in Maiduguri. This is a senior-level role requiring strong technical, leadership, and managerial expertise in humanitarian MHPSS and protection programming.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct continuous assessment of the humanitarian context and MHPSS needs.
    • Implement assigned MHPSS & Protection projects aligned with ACF and international standards.
    • Lead, motivate, and manage the project staff.
    • Ensure project quality in line with ACF standards.
    • Ensure gender and protection integration across all activities.
    • Coordinate activities with other ACF departments and partners for resource optimization.
    • Ensure confidentiality of beneficiary data and clinical interviews.

    Requirements

    • Degree in Clinical Psychology, Psychology, Mental Health Counselling, or Public Health (Master’s preferred).
    • Minimum 4 years professional experience, including at least 3 years in humanitarian/INGO settings and 1 year in a managerial role.
    • Strong knowledge of MHPSS service delivery and integration in primary health systems.
    • Experience training and supervising health workers and community members.
    • Fluency in English and Hausa.
