Overview
The Nutrition & Health Programme Manager will lead the implementation and overall management of nutrition and health projects in Mobbar LGA, ensuring high-quality programme delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure projects are implemented according to donor requirements and global standards.
- Develop and manage Project Implementation Plans (PIP) and operational strategies.
- Create detailed weekly and monthly activity plans for field teams.
- Monitor programme performance and ensure timely delivery of results.
- Provide strategic guidance on nutrition and health interventions.
- Support the development of regional strategies to address malnutrition.
- Ensure quality service delivery in OTP/SC sites in collaboration with health authorities.
- Oversee assessments, surveys, and technical analysis.
- Lead recruitment and training of project staff.
- Identify training needs and conduct capacity-building sessions.
- Supervise team performance and coordinate workflows.
- Collaborate with government agencies, partners, and stakeholders.
- Prepare monthly activity progress reports (APR) and donor reports.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Development Studies, or related field with at least 5 years’ experience, OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Food Science, or related field with strong experience in nutrition programme management.
- Minimum 3 years in a similar managerial role.
- Strong experience in nutrition programming in emergency settings.
- Excellent report writing and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Fluency in English (Hausa is an added advantage).
- Ability to work in insecure and challenging environments.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
