Overview
The Manager, Clinical Program - Pharmacy supports the Vice President, Pharmacy Services by providing leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for the Pharmacy program. This role is responsible for leadership, program performance, client engagement, workforce planning, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring high-quality pharmacy services and optimal member outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support recruiting and retention efforts and participate in new hire selection.
- Provide direct leadership and management of pharmacists, nurses, and support staff.
- Develop Pharmacy Leads and other leadership-level team members while ensuring consistent coaching.
- Deliver performance feedback and conduct performance management to support employee development.
- Establish onboarding, training, competency, and quality standards for the Pharmacy program.
- Lead succession planning and Individual Development Plan (IDP) processes.
- Facilitate department-wide communications and strategic planning sessions.
- Maintain effective client relationships and ensure alignment with client expectations.
- Collaborate with external partners to address member concerns.
- Participate as a clinical leader during client meetings and site visits.
- Serve as an accessible resource for staff and assist in resolving escalated issues.
- Monitor and adjust daily clinical workloads for operational effectiveness.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted professional license as a Pharmacist (R.Ph. or PharmD) or Registered Nurse (RN).
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required.
- Minimum 5 years of pharmacy experience and 3 years of leadership experience.
- Experience managing a pharmacy team preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to drive results in healthcare environments.
