Overview
The Women’s Rights and Health Project (WRAHP) Nigeria is recruiting qualified professionals to support a Mental Health Research and Legal Simplification Project in Lagos State, aimed at strengthening mental health service delivery through research.
Key Responsibilities
- Design mental health survey tools and methodology
- Provide technical guidance for research implementation
- Oversee data quality assurance processes
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data
- Develop a comprehensive research report with recommendations
- Administer structured questionnaires
- Conduct Key Informant Interviews
- Ensure accurate and ethical data collection
- Maintain confidentiality and informed consent protocols
- Review the Lagos State Mental Health Law
- Translate legal provisions into clear and accessible language
- Develop user-friendly materials including briefs, summaries, and infographics
- Ensure legal accuracy while making content accessible for non-legal audiences
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Psychology, Public Health, Sociology, or a related field (for Research Consultant)
- Proven experience in mental health research and survey design
- Strong data analysis and report writing skills
- Experience working in Nigeria, preferably Lagos State
- Minimum of OND or NCE for Field Enumerators, bachelor's degree is an added advantage
- Experience in field data collection and interviews
- Strong communication skills in English and local languages
- Familiarity with the local communities
- Advanced degree in Law for Legal Consultant
- Experience in health law, human rights, or policy
- Experience in legal drafting or policy simplification
- Strong writing and communication skills
