    Eligibility Requirements for Globalink Research Internship 2027

    Eligible candidates must:

    • Be at least 18 years old at the time of application.
    • Be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate programme or combined undergraduate/master’s programme at an eligible institution.
    • Have completed at least two years of undergraduate study or be enrolled in the second year of their current programme.
    • Have between one and three semesters remaining in their academic programme as of autumn 2027.
    • Meet the academic grade requirements established for their country.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in English and/or French, depending on the research project requirements.
    • Be available for a consecutive 12-week internship between May 1 and October 31, 2027.
    • Apply for between three and ten research projects across at least three Canadian provinces.
    • Have not previously received a Globalink Research Internship placement.

    Applicants must also comply with Mitacs policies regarding research security and eligibility restrictions related to sensitive technology research areas.

    Mitacs encourages prospective applicants to begin preparing their applications early to ensure all required documents are available before submission.

    Students should prepare:
