    🎯 Job Summary

    The Program Associate will provide technical and strategic support to program teams, manage projects and workstreams, and ensure timely delivery of client-driven objectives. This role requires strong analytical thinking, stakeholder engagement, and project management expertise.

    🔧 Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and manage projects and workstreams from start to completion
    • Develop operational plans and track progress through reports
    • Support client engagements, workshops, and problem-solving sessions
    • Conduct research and generate high-quality analytical insights
    • Build partnerships with stakeholders at state, national, and global levels
    • Support proposal writing and identify grant funding opportunities
    • Deliver technical tasks such as costing, modeling, and reporting
    • Collaborate with communications teams on knowledge products

    ✅ Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred)
    • Minimum of 6+ years experience in public health advisory or consulting
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Excellent communication (written and verbal)
    • Experience working in Northern Nigeria is highly desirable
    • Ability to work independently and in teams

    The Health Strategy and Delivery Foundation (HSDF) is recruiting a Health Financing Specialist to support health financing systems and improve access to maternal and newborn healthcare services across multiple Nigerian states.

    🎯 Role Overview

    This role focuses on strengthening Drug Revolving Fund (DRF) systems, improving financing mechanisms, and ensuring continuous availability of MNH (Maternal & Newborn Health) commodities. The position involves collaboration with government agencies and frequent travel to project states.

    📍 Location

    Abuja, Nigeria (with travel to Lagos, Borno, Bauchi, Katsina & Yobe)

    🔧 Key Responsibilities

    • Strengthen DRF governance and accountability structures
    • Improve budgeting, financing, and replenishment systems
    • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and performance reviews
    • Support integration of MNH services into health insurance schemes
    • Track program performance using dashboards and data tools
    • Drive evidence-based decision-making across project states
    • Contribute to knowledge products and technical reports

    🎓 Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Economics, or related field
    • 3–5 years experience in health financing or public finance projects
    • Strong understanding of public health finance systems
    • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
    • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical ability
    • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

    📌 Experience with DRF programs or health insurance systems is an added advantage
