    1. Social Worker – C4

    Job Overview

    The Social Worker – C4 position is responsible for providing professional social work and employee wellness services within the mine by addressing employees’ psychosocial, emotional, behavioural, and social challenges.

    The role supports employee well-being, workplace productivity, safety, and long-term organisational sustainability through Employee Assistance Programme interventions aligned with labour legislation and wellness strategies.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor of Social Work (NQF Level 8) is essential
    • Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) is essential
    • 2–3 years experience in Employee Wellness or EAP services is essential

    • Experience in industrial or mining environments is advantageous
    • 2–3 years experience in trauma counselling, substance abuse, and crisis intervention is essential
    • Valid medical certificate or medically fit to obtain one

    Key Competencies

    • Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations
    • Psychosocial risk management knowledge
    • Strong communication and facilitation skills

    • Excellent report writing abilities
    • Crisis intervention and trauma support experience

    Key Responsibilities

    • Visit hospitalised employees and employees on sick leave due to mining-related accidents
    • Conduct family needs assessments for injured or deceased employees
    • Provide trauma counselling and family support services
    • Facilitate educational support for children of deceased employees

    • Coordinate employee assistance programmes with external providers
    • Arrange accommodation and transport for family hospital visits
    • Support employees undergoing medical incapacitation processes
    • Facilitate portable skills training for injured employees

    2. Administrative Supervisor – C1

    • Analyse and report injury statistics daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly
    • Liaise with medical and management departments for reporting accuracy

    • Capture meeting minutes accurately
    • Compile presentations for HOD meetings
    • Plan and execute communication campaigns aligned with shaft operations
    • Manage communication channels including newsletters, production boards, videos, and team briefs
    • Report on communication effectiveness to HOD

    3. Instrument Technician: Plant

    Job Overview

    The Instrument Technician: Plant position is responsible for safely designing, installing, fault-finding, repairing, and maintaining instrumentation systems and IT infrastructure within plant operations.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 qualification is essential
    • Instrumentation Trade Certificate and NQF 5 Certificate OR
    • Instrumentation/Electrical Engineering Diploma (NQF 6 equivalent)

    • Minimum 3 years Instrument Mechanician experience or practical experience with higher learning qualification
    • Valid medical certificate or medically fit to obtain one

    Required Competencies

    • Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards
    • Understanding of process control loops
    • Knowledge of final control element equipment maintenance
    • PLC programming and troubleshooting skills

    • Instrumentation installation and fault-finding expertise
    • Preventative maintenance knowledge
    • Computer networking architecture knowledge

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct equipment fault-finding using testing equipment
    • Design and compile PLC software programmes
    • Debug and troubleshoot PLC systems
    • Install programmable logic controllers and final control systems

    • Repair flow, pressure, level, temperature and analytical equipment
    • Install and configure network operating systems
    • Commission local area computer networks
    • Support internal stakeholders to achieve operational objectives
    • Ensure compliance with mine safety standards and regulations
