Overview

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF Belgium) is seeking Nurses for a Reserve Pool position in Kebbi State, Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

Provide quality nursing care in line with MSF protocols and medical prescriptions
Ensure infection prevention and control standards are strictly followed
Assist during consultations, ward rounds, emergency care and triage
Monitor patients’ conditions and report any deterioration
Support admission, referral, and follow-up of patients
Participate in health education for patients and caregivers
Maintain accurate patient records, registers, and reports
Ensure proper use and maintenance of medical equipment and supplies
Support pharmacy stock control and medical equipment inventory
Participate in data collection and handover between shifts
Supervise and support nurse aides and other assigned staff
Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments

Requirements

Bachelor of Nursing Science or Diploma in Nursing
Valid license to practice
Minimum of 2 years nursing experience with MSF, an NGO, INGO, or private health facility
Experience supervising and training team members
Good knowledge of infection prevention and control
Basic knowledge of malnutrition management protocols
Strong teamwork, flexibility, and stress management skills
English required; Hausa is an advantage
