    Overview

    The Embassy of Denmark in India is offering a full-time opportunity for the position of Officer – Adoptions, focusing on case management and political support. The role aims to address historical adoption cases between Denmark and India.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist adoptees and families in accessing information about historical adoption cases.
    • Coordinate with Indian authorities and organisations.
    • Support the development of procedures for adoption case management.
    • Assist the political team with research and documentation.
    • Prepare notes for meetings and diplomatic engagements.
    • Conduct field-related travel, especially to southern Indian states.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • Master’s degree in law, political science, international relations, or relevant field.
    • Professional experience in adoption-related work.
    • Strong organizational and logistical skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Strong written and verbal English proficiency.
    • Advanced computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office.
    • Willingness to travel.
