Overview

This position offers the opportunity to work as an Operations Manager at DCC Ocean Economy Barcelona, leading sustainable marine projects in collaboration with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and execute DCC-EO projects, ensuring compliance with goals, deadlines, and quality standards.
Develop comprehensive work plans, schedules, and tracking systems.
Collaborate with external partners including public entities, companies, universities, and NGOs.
Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, and project updates.
Manage logistics and organization of events, workshops, and meetings.
Support the development and implementation of the communication plan.
Create and manage institutional communication content.
Foster operational relations with other Ocean Decade Collaborative Centers.
Represent the organization at events, conferences, and public activities.
Contribute insights for process improvements and activity development.
Prepare briefings, presentations, and technical documents.
Represent the Director in technical meetings when needed.

Requirements

University degree in Marine Sciences, Environmental Sciences, International Relations, Project Management, Engineering, or related fields.
Additional training in project management methodologies and institutional communication.
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex international projects.
Sector-specific knowledge of the blue economy, ocean sustainability, blue innovation, or nautical sectors.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools such as MS Project, Asana, Trello.
Strong leadership, team management, negotiation, and networking skills.
Excellent communication, planning, and organizational abilities.
Knowledge of languages: Spanish (Advanced), English (Advanced), Catalan (Basic).
Strategic thinker with a proactive approach, demonstrating empathy, adaptability, and initiative.
