Overview
This position offers the opportunity to work as an Operations Manager at DCC Ocean Economy Barcelona, leading sustainable marine projects in collaboration with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute DCC-EO projects, ensuring compliance with goals, deadlines, and quality standards.
- Develop comprehensive work plans, schedules, and tracking systems.
- Collaborate with external partners including public entities, companies, universities, and NGOs.
- Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, and project updates.
- Manage logistics and organization of events, workshops, and meetings.
- Support the development and implementation of the communication plan.
- Create and manage institutional communication content.
- Foster operational relations with other Ocean Decade Collaborative Centers.
- Represent the organization at events, conferences, and public activities.
- Contribute insights for process improvements and activity development.
- Prepare briefings, presentations, and technical documents.
- Represent the Director in technical meetings when needed.
Requirements
- University degree in Marine Sciences, Environmental Sciences, International Relations, Project Management, Engineering, or related fields.
- Additional training in project management methodologies and institutional communication.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex international projects.
- Sector-specific knowledge of the blue economy, ocean sustainability, blue innovation, or nautical sectors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools such as MS Project, Asana, Trello.
- Strong leadership, team management, negotiation, and networking skills.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of languages: Spanish (Advanced), English (Advanced), Catalan (Basic).
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach, demonstrating empathy, adaptability, and initiative.

Benefits
Annual salary of €42,000–€50,000 gross, with a full-time work hours of 40 hours per week.
