Pharmacist Assistant at Action Against Hunger @Action Against Hunger

Applications are invited for the position of Pharmacist Assistant (Pool) at Action Against Hunger. The organization is seeking motivated and skilled professionals to join its team in Maiduguri, Borno. The recruited professionals will support pharmacy operations and logistics management within its humanitarian and health programmes. This is a full-time position reporting directly to the Pharmacist. The proposed start date is in April 2026.

The Pharmacist Assistant will support the management of medicine stocks and ensure proper documentation of pharmaceutical supplies. Additionally, the assistant will assist in procurement and distribution activities for hospital and health projects. The role requires working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of medical supplies. The assistant must also maintain high standards of quality and compliance.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy and a minimum of two years’ experience in stock management, preferably within a humanitarian or NGO setting. Fluency in spoken and written English is required. Knowledge of Hausa is desirable. Applicants should demonstrate a strong work ethic, including punctuality, responsibility, and flexibility. They should also show a high level of motivation and capacity to work effectively in a team. Additionally, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential for this role. Experience in pharmacy supply management for hospital projects is an added advantage.
