The Diamond Jubilee Research Scholarship 2026/27 offers an exceptional opportunity for international students to pursue a fully funded PhD at the University of Strathclyde, covering 100% of tuition fees for three years.

Eligibility

Strong academic excellence with a First-Class undergraduate degree (or international equivalent) and/or a Master’s degree with Merit or Distinction.
Upper Second-Class degree holders can apply with an exceptional research proposal.
Alignment with Faculty’s expertise and submission of a compelling research proposal.
Demonstrated potential for academic research.

Benefits

Full tuition fee coverage for up to three years.
No stipend provided; candidates must cover their living expenses (~£20,000 per year).

How to Apply

Interested applicants must identify a suitable academic supervisor, develop a 1,500-word research proposal, contact the supervisor for feedback, and then submit an online application including the proposal, academic CV, transcripts, two references, and proof of English proficiency.
