Overview
Plan Bleu is seeking an experienced Consultant/Expert to develop the NT4CC Capitalisation Report on climate-resilient coastal tourism using Nature-Based Solutions. This consultancy involves synthesizing project achievements, developing case studies, and crafting policy recommendations for sustainable tourism in the Mediterranean.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a didactic summary of NT4CC methodologies, including practical guidelines for climate-resilient tourism planning, governance, funding, and stakeholder engagement.
- Compile 12 case studies across five pilot regions and seven destinations, highlighting implementation, results, challenges, lessons learned, and replicability factors.
- Develop concise policy briefs on governance, NbS integration, funding, and stakeholder engagement for various target groups.
- Propose a simple evaluation methodology with criteria, indicators, and a practical framework for assessing project results.
Requirements
- Over 10 years of experience in climate change adaptation, sustainable tourism, and coastal management.
- Proven expertise in Nature-based Solutions and ecosystem-based management.
- Extensive knowledge of Mediterranean tourism stakeholders, policies, and funding mechanisms.
- Experience in developing institutional documents, reports, and knowledge management tools.
- Recognized credibility in the international sustainable tourism sector.
- Strong analytical, synthesis, and writing skills in English.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation abilities.
- Ability to manage complex multidisciplinary project content.
- Familiarity with Mediterranean environmental and tourism contexts.
- Ability to produce clear, user-friendly content with visual potential.
