Plan International Bangladesh is inviting applications from qualified Bangladeshi nationals for multiple positions under the Social Norms Specialized Agency (SNSA), a key component of the Economic Acceleration and Resilience for NEET (EARN) Project.

Supported by the World Bank and implemented by the Department of Youth Development (DYD) under Bangladesh’s Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYS), the project aims to address social norms and improve opportunities for young people who are Not in Employment, Education, or Training (NEET).

The organization is recruiting 14 professionals across five different roles based at its Country Office in Dhaka, with approximately 70% travel required. Applications are open until 9 August 2026.

About the EARN Project

The Economic Acceleration and Resilience for NEET (EARN) Project is a major national initiative designed to improve economic opportunities and resilience among young people in Bangladesh who are not currently engaged in employment, education, or vocational training.

As part of this initiative, the Social Norms Specialized Agency (SNSA) works to address harmful social norms that limit opportunities for youth, particularly women and marginalized communities. Through research, capacity building, training, and community engagement, the project seeks to create an enabling environment where young people can access education, skills development, and employment opportunities.

Plan International Bangladesh is supporting this work by recruiting specialists who will contribute to research, training, gender equality, and social norms transformation.

Available Positions

The current recruitment includes the following vacancies:

1. Junior Gender Expert (2 Positions)

The Junior Gender Experts will support the integration of gender-responsive approaches throughout project implementation. Successful candidates will contribute to gender analysis, stakeholder engagement, field activities, and monitoring initiatives that promote equality and inclusion.

2. Junior Social Norms Expert (2 Positions)

These positions focus on understanding and addressing social norms that influence youth participation, gender equality, and community development. Candidates will support behaviour change initiatives, community engagement activities, and project implementation.

3. Training Specialist (4 Positions)

Training Specialists will design, coordinate, and deliver capacity-building programmes for project stakeholders, government partners, and community participants. The role requires strong facilitation and curriculum development skills.

4. Research Assistant (3 Positions)

Research Assistants will support field research, data collection, documentation, and analysis to strengthen evidence-based project implementation.

5. Research Associate (3 Positions)

Research Associates will play a more advanced role in designing research methodologies, analysing findings, preparing reports, and supporting knowledge generation for the project.

Duty Station

All positions are based at:

Dhaka, Bangladesh

However, successful candidates should be prepared for approximately 70% travel, reflecting the project’s nationwide implementation activities and stakeholder engagement.
