Overview
Plan International is seeking a Deployment Coordinator to manage rapid, efficient, and compliant surge deployments for its global humanitarian operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth functioning of emergency staffing processes from request initiation to assignment closure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the global deployment tracker and request system
- Coordinate the full deployment process, from initiation to completion
- Arrange travel, accommodation, and required documentation
- Maintain real-time, accurate deployment and travel records
- Ensure timely onboarding and completion of mandatory training
- Support recruitment, shortlisting, and screening of surge personnel
- Monitor roster availability and proactively match candidates to needs
- Maintain standardized templates and scheduling systems
- Ensure efficient documentation and administrative consistency
- Oversee recharge processes and deployment costing
- Monitor monthly financial tracking and reporting
- Collate and analyze travel data for operational planning
- Support workload forecasting and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures
- Maintain adherence to Gender Equality and Inclusion standards
- Guarantee that all deployments meet organizational and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Strong administrative and coordination experience
- Excellent organizational and time-management capabilities
- Advanced data management and reporting skills, particularly in Excel
- Experience supporting HR, logistics, or deployment processes
- Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
- Previous involvement in humanitarian surge mechanisms or INGO emergency responses (Desirable)
- Language proficiency in French, Spanish, or Arabic (Desirable)
