The University of Cambridge invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) position within the Centre for Pandemic Risk Management. This role focuses on interdisciplinary research related to artificial intelligence, automation, and their impacts on laboratory practices.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct interdisciplinary research on artificial intelligence and automation in laboratory environments.
Analyze changes in scientific methods and workflows within microbiology and virology.
Investigate how knowledge is generated, interpreted, and applied in modern laboratory settings.
Contribute to collaborative research efforts within the Centre for Pandemic Risk Management.
Produce high-quality academic outputs, including publications and reports.
Engage with stakeholders across science, policy, and academia.

Requirements

Training in Science and Technology Studies or a closely related discipline.
Experience in laboratory ethnography.

Benefits

Salary range: £37,694 – £46,049.
Fixed-term contract until 31 March 2029.
