The University of Helsinki is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in Cultural Memory Studies within the Centre of Excellence in Nationalism Research in the Humanities (NARS). This is a fixed-term academic appointment for 36 months, commencing in September 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting an independent research project within the NARS framework
• Applying cultural memory approaches to the study of nationalism

Requirements

• Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary environments
• Typically suited for candidates 3–5 years post-PhD
