Overview

Elastic is seeking a Principal Product Manager for its Security Solutions team, focusing on XDR and exposure management capabilities. The role involves strategic ownership of XDR and its integration with other security features to enhance organizational defense mechanisms against cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities

• Own XDR strategy and delivery across various domains, including endpoint, cloud, identity, and network.
• Lead the expansion of Elastic's XDR into exposure and vulnerability management.
• Coordinate with the Entity Analytics team on asset criticality and exposure prioritization.
• Serve as the product voice for senior customer stakeholders, including CISOs and VPs of Security Operations.
• Become the internal authority on the competitive landscape of major security vendors.
• Write precise requirements for engineering leads and Security Labs.
• Create artifacts such as roadmap trackers, decision memos, and competitive briefs for visibility among stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of product management experience, with at least 4 years in security or B2B enterprise software.
• Hands-on knowledge of XDR, EDR, SIEM, or broader security operations.
• Understanding of exposure and vulnerability management principles.
• Familiarity with analytics techniques used for detection and prioritization.
• Technical credibility to draft clear requirements and assess feasibility.
• Ability to communicate effectively with C-suite stakeholders.
• Experience in operating across various functions such as Product, Engineering, and Sales.
• Proven leadership in a remote-first environment.
