    Malaria Consortium is hiring a Programme Officer to support public health interventions in Kaduna State. This is a full-time temporary role offering an opportunity to work on impactful malaria and community health programmes across local government areas (LGAs).

    🎯 Role Overview

    The Programme Officer will work closely with the State Programme Manager (SPM) to coordinate and implement the MDA-AZM project across assigned LGAs. The role involves stakeholder engagement, programme execution, monitoring, and reporting to ensure successful delivery of health interventions.

    🔧 Key Responsibilities

    Programme Management (70%)
    • Support planning, training, and implementation of project activities
    • Coordinate field teams and LGA-level stakeholders
    • Lead micro-planning, drug distribution, and supervision
    • Ensure compliance with policies and operational standards
    • Manage risks, budgets, and programme performance

    Technical Support (20%)
    • Support monitoring & evaluation (M&E) activities
    • Track programme data and reporting (e.g., LQAS, surveys)
    • Contribute to programme reviews and performance analysis

    Representation & Knowledge Management (10%)
    • Engage stakeholders at LGA and community levels
    • Support knowledge sharing and adaptive learning
    • Represent the programme in coordination meetings

    🎓 Requirements

    Essential Qualifications & Experience:
    • Background in Nursing or Public Health
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in public health programmes
    • Experience in programme/project management
    • Strong M&E, planning, and budgeting skills
    • Familiarity with tools like DHIS2, ODK, KoboCollect

    Key Skills:
    • Strong understanding of Nigeria’s health system
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and travel extensively (up to 80%)
    • Fluency in English and local language
    • Must be resident in Kaduna State

    📌 Experience with SMC campaigns or community health interventions is an advantage
