    Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is recruiting a Technical Officer to support malaria prevention and treatment programmes in Nigeria. This role is ideal for experienced public health professionals with strong expertise in malaria programming and health systems strengthening.

    Role Summary

    The Technical Officer will work closely with the State Ministry of Health and partners to implement malaria interventions, including Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention (SMC), Intermittent Preventive Therapy (IPTp), and LLIN distribution, ensuring alignment with national guidelines and donor expectations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Support implementation of malaria case management activities
    Coordinate training for health workers and supportive supervision (iMSV)
    Lead SMC campaign planning, training, and monthly drug distribution
    Supervise field teams and ad-hoc personnel during interventions
    Prepare end-of-cycle and comprehensive malaria programme reports
    Strengthen IPTp and LLIN distribution for pregnant women and children under five
    Build capacity of State Ministry of Health staff
    Represent MSH in technical working groups and coordination meetings
    Document best practices, lessons learned, and programme impact
    Support emergency response planning for malaria outbreaks
    Ensure quality assurance and compliance with national malaria guidelines

    Required Qualifications & Experience

    M.D / MBBS degree (mandatory)
    At least 5 years post-NYSC experience in public health
    Strong experience in malaria prevention, diagnosis, and treatment
    Experience in malaria programme implementation and technical support
    Familiarity with Global Fund processes is an advantage
    Experience in community-based health programming

    Skills & Competencies

    Strong leadership and team coordination skills
    Excellent report writing and presentation abilities
    Ability to work independently and within teams
    Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    Ability to manage multiple tasks in demanding environments
