Overview
Prospera International Network of Women’s Funds is hiring a Director of Advocacy and Communications to provide strategic leadership for their global advocacy strategy through integrated advocacy, public affairs, communications, and research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement integrated Advocacy, Communications, and Research strategies.
- Lead high-impact advocacy initiatives and build relationships with policymakers, funders, and coalitions.
- Oversee media relations, digital engagement, and brand management.
- Ensure high-quality data collection, analysis, and translation of research findings.
- Manage and mentor Advocacy, Research, and Communications staff.
- Establish performance indicators and track the reach, influence, and impact of the organization’s work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Policy, Law, International Relations, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8–10 years of experience in advocacy, strategic communications, or public affairs within nonprofit or social justice sectors.
- Minimum 5 years of team management experience.
- Strong knowledge of development cooperation, feminist funding, and feminist philanthropy.
- Excellent writing, editing, and public speaking skills.
- Fluency in English (Spanish or French is an asset).
- Ability to navigate complex political and cultural environments.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%.
