QA Director @NICE

Overview

The role of QA Director at NiCE involves leading the quality engineering discipline into the AI era. The successful candidate will own automation infrastructure, performance engineering, and AI-driven quality initiatives, while mentoring high-performing teams of engineers and architects.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead all AI-augmented quality initiatives across the organization.
• Deploy LLM-powered test generation, triage, and root-cause analysis tooling.
• Build frameworks for validating AI/ML model outputs and non-deterministic behaviors.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging AI quality toolchains.
• Champion responsible AI testing practices and governance models.
• Own the full automation strategy across UI, API, and integration layers.
• Architect scalable, maintainable test frameworks.
• Drive shift-left testing embedded in CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead performance and load testing strategy at enterprise scale.
• Define reliability thresholds and partner with SRE.
• Lead and grow teams of automation engineers and performance engineers.
• Set technical direction and hire senior talent.
• Foster a culture of ownership and continuous learning.

Requirements

• 12+ years in software engineering or QA, with 5+ years in engineering leadership at the Director level.
• Proven track record in test automation architecture and performance engineering at scale.
• Experience with AI/ML systems and their unique quality challenges.
• Enterprise software domain experience preferred (SaaS, fintech, etc.).
• Strong technical acumen with AI capabilities relevant to software testing.
• Comfortable with scripting/programming languages (Python, TypeScript, Java).
• Exceptional communication and organizational influence skills.
• Data-driven decision maker with a focus on hiring and developing talent.
