Overview

The Feminist Technology Communities of Practice (CoPs) are regional collaboration platforms designed to bring together feminist actors working at the intersection of technology, digital rights, governance, and social justice across Africa.

Eligibility

Participation is open to individuals and organizations actively engaged in feminist technology, digital rights, and related fields. Eligible applicants must:

Identify as feminist practitioners across various fields such as civil society, community-based organizations, research institutions, creative industries, or social enterprises.
Be based in one of the nine priority countries listed under the regional structure (East Africa, Central Africa, West Africa, Southern Africa).
Have at least two years of relevant experience.
Demonstrate active engagement in digital rights, technology governance, online safety, or feminist movements.
Show interest or experience in feminist technology design, data governance, or online safety issues.
Commit to participating in at least 80% of convenings over an 18-month period.
Contribute to at least one collaborative output or activity each quarter.
