The International CML Foundation (iCMLf) has announced an opening for the position of Communications Manager. This is a part-time role requiring three days of work per week and is fully remote, with applications welcomed from candidates worldwide.
The International CML Foundation (iCMLf) is a global, not-for-profit organization founded in 2009 and led by experts in chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML). The foundation brings together hematologists, researchers, and patient advocates to improve treatment outcomes and advance progress toward a cure. Its work focuses on education, research collaboration, and knowledge sharing, with a strong commitment to ensuring equitable care across all regions.
The Communications Manager will join a small, dedicated team and work closely with the Chief Executive and Communications Director. The role involves delivering impactful communications that highlight the International CML Foundation (iCMLf)’s programs, research, and global impact, while engaging audiences across digital platforms.
Key responsibilities include creating written and visual content for email newsletters, social media, websites, publications, and event materials. The successful candidate will also produce communications that showcase the real-world impact of the International CML Foundation (iCMLf)’s work, including content for donors and supporters. Additional duties include maintaining and updating website content through the organization’s content management system and designing visual assets using Canva while ensuring brand consistency.
Candidates are expected to have between three to five years of experience in a communications role, preferably within nonprofit, health, research, or international organizations. Strong writing skills are essential, particularly the ability to translate complex or technical information into clear and engaging content for diverse audiences. The role also requires the ability to work independently across time zones as part of a global team.
Applicants should demonstrate experience in developing and delivering communications campaigns, producing digital content for various platforms, and using tools such as Canva and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with website content management systems and strong project management skills are also required. Experience in donor communications, health or science communication, or international organizations is considered an advantage, as is knowledge of SEO, email marketing platforms, or analytics tools.
The position may be structured as either an employment or contractor engagement depending on the candidate’s location, with remuneration aligned to local market rates. Full details will be provided during the application process.
Interested applicants are required to submit a cover letter and CV to the Chief Executive, Nicola Evans, via email. Early applications are encouraged.
If you have experience in communications, content creation, digital engagement, and enjoy translating complex topics into compelling stories, we’d love to hear from you.
