Overview

This opportunity offers short-term positions as Research Assistants to support a baseline study on digital traceability adoption among smallholder farmers and processors in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

Administer structured surveys for quantitative data collection.
Conduct Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and Key Informant Interviews (KIIs).
Audio record interviews and transcribe qualitative data.
Translate qualitative data to ensure accuracy and completeness of findings.

Eligibility

Applicants must have a minimum of two years of experience in research or field data collection, with expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methods. Familiarity with transcription and translation processes, and proficiency in using digital data collection tools such as KoboToolbox or Open Data Kit (ODK) are essential. Candidates must own a smartphone and understand local community dynamics, effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders.

Language proficiency is required: candidates for Kaduna State must conduct interviews in Hausa, while those for Oyo State must be proficient in Yoruba.
