Overview
Real-Time Innovations (RTI) is seeking a Research Engineer to join their research team, tackling challenges in AI coding for distributed systems and developing innovative solutions for real-world applications. RTI is a mid-sized company recognized for its impact on the transition to Physical AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Innovate new solutions for secure, adaptable, and fast distributed systems.
- Collaborate with the business-development team to define research areas and topics for proposals.
- Compose research proposals and report progress to research sponsors.
- Execute and lead research contracts to advance technology.
- Serve as Principal Investigator or Staff Member on externally-funded contracts.
- Interface with research project sponsors, customers, partners, and prospects.
- Develop expertise in emerging technologies and share insights across RTI.
- Communicate innovations through papers and presentations.
- Support the transition of innovations to product including customer trials.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with physical applications or distributed systems research.
- Excellent written communication skills and evidence of research publications.
- Solid programming skills and experience with AI-assisted software development.
- Ability to work successfully in a highly distributed team.
- US Person requirement due to laws and contract specifications.
