Revenue Controller @Semperis

Overview

Semperis is seeking a Revenue Controller to join their team and contribute to their mission as a leader in cybersecurity innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes according to US GAAP.
• Review and analyze agreements with customers and partners for accurate billing and compliance with revenue recognition standards (ASC-606).
• Manage month-end closing processes, including preparing revenue recognition and analytics, as well as reconciliations for deferred revenue accounts.
• Prepare and maintain various reports to support business needs, including ARR reporting.
• Engage in ad-hoc projects to enhance workflows and procedures internally and with external auditors.
• Develop and document internal controls and processes.
• Provide ongoing support for customer-facing teams as a business partner.
• Assist with the implementation and communication of new finance policies.
• Support ad-hoc tasks as needed related to revenue and business matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification required.
• 3+ years of experience at a Big 4 firm or 2+ years in a comparable role in a public company, high-tech, or SaaS environment.
• Extensive expertise in revenue recognition under US GAAP (ASC 606) is essential.
• Ability to operate independently and manage complex tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Excel skills are required.
• Experience with NetSuite ERP, Salesforce CRM, and Certinia is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across teams.
• Positive and proactive approach to challenges and improvement.
