Overview

This scholarship offers a valuable funding opportunity of $7,500 to promising law students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to serving Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities. It is specifically targeted at current first-year law students (1Ls) who will advance to their second year (2L) during the Fall 2026 semester.

Eligibility

To qualify for the SAIL Scholarship 2026, applicants must:

• Be a current 1L law student
• Be entering 2L in Fall 2026
• Demonstrate strong academic and leadership potential
• Show commitment to service and community impact
• Meet the scholarship’s evaluation criteria

Benefits

Successful applicants will receive:

• Total Award Value: $7,500
• The scholarship will be distributed equally over two years.
• First disbursement in August during the recipient’s second year of law school.
• Second disbursement in August during the recipient’s third year of law school, contingent upon maintaining strong academic performance and demonstrating good character.
