Security Engineer @Five9

Key Responsibilities

• Incident response: Own incidents from scoping to remediation.
• Detection engineering: Write, tune, test, and retire detection logic.
• IR automation: Develop playbooks and workflows to streamline response processes.
• Threat intelligence: Monitor relevant activities and integrate insights into operational activities.
• Threat hunting: Participate in hypothesis-led initiatives to detect and mitigate threats.
• AI-assisted development: Enhance the logic behind triage pipeline agents.
• Alert triage: Handle escalations and provide feedback to improve the pipeline.

Requirements

• Hands-on security operations experience.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (preferably Python).
• Familiarity with detection logic and various telemetry sources.
• Ability to define and deliver solutions for ambiguous problems.
• Strong written communication skills.

Location

This role is fully remote for candidates residing outside the 30-mile radius of any Five9 offices. Candidates within this radius should expect a hybrid role with three days in the office.
