Senior Account Manager, Aerospace & Defense @Real-Time Innovations

Overview

RTI is seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to drive sales of their Connext DDS software and services to Aerospace and Defense customers, particularly focused on Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). This role involves managing the sales process and building relationships with technical teams across a defined territory.

Key Responsibilities

• Present and sell RTI software and engineering services to customers within the assigned territory.
• Proactively seek new business, primarily in UAS, through various outreach methods and trade events.
• Consult with customers to understand their technical and business challenges.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to develop software solutions.
• Manage all aspects of customer relationships, including pricing and account negotiations.
• Drive customer retention, upsells, and satisfaction.
• Plan and execute marketing events in the territory.
• Forecast and track key sales metrics, meeting sales goals.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience with at least 5 years in technology software sales to R&D and engineering teams.
• Strong hunting and prospecting skills, with demonstrable relationship-building capability.
• Effective communication and listening skills.
• Experience with tools like Salesforce.com to enhance productivity.
• BS or higher in engineering or computer science preferred.
• UAS market experience preferred but not required; experience with defense and government sales is a plus.
• Travel within the territory is required, and US Citizenship is necessary due to legal requirements.
• Secret Clearance is a plus.
