Senior AI Software Engineer @Forter

Overview

Forter is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to become a part of its AI Engineering team. The team focuses on AI initiatives, facilitating innovation and the application of AI across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reusable AI capabilities including models, tools, APIs, and platforms for internal and customer-facing solutions.
• Develop and maintain the internal MCP server for secure access to Forter's data stores by AI agents.
• Create and implement evaluation frameworks and AI guardrails to ensure model reliability.
• Establish expertise and sustainable AI engineering practices.
• Promote AI readiness and track its adoption across the company.
• Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
• Take full ownership of projects from requirements gathering to development, deployment, and operation.
• Consult and advocate for AI engineering across teams to leverage the platforms and tools developed.
• Partner with teams to accelerate AI adoption and productization efforts.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend and server-side development experience with scalable systems.
• Proven experience with at least one general-purpose programming language, preferably Python.
• Strong product management skills with the ability to gather and refine requirements.
• A strong sense of ownership along with some DevOps experience.
• Solid understanding of GenAI, LLMs, and foundation models.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools like Claude Code, Github Copilot, or similar.
• Experience with AI-driven workflows and frameworks.
• Experience with public cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Location
