Senior AI Software Engineer @Forter

Overview

Forter is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a strong and dynamic AI Engineering team. The team is central to AI initiatives in Forter, innovating and leveraging AI capabilities across the company’s teams and products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reusable AI capabilities including models, tools, APIs, and platforms for internal and customer-facing solutions.
• Develop and maintain the internal MCP server to securely expose Forter’s data stores to AI agents.
• Create and implement robust evaluation frameworks and AI guardrails for model reliability.
• Establish expertise in sustainable AI engineering practices.
• Promote AI readiness and track adoption across the company.
• Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
• Own projects from requirements gathering to development, deployment, and operation.
• Consult and advocate for AI engineering across teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend and server-side development experience.
• Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language, preferably Python.
• Strong product management skills with experience in gathering requirements from non-technical users.
• Experience with DevOps practices.
• Understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, and foundation models.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Github Copilot).
• Hands-on experience with AI-driven workflows and frameworks.
• Experience with public cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
