The role of Senior Backend Engineer - Databases focuses on contributing to the telemetric databases, including Mimir for metrics, Loki for logs, and Tempo for traces, within a global collaborative culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Influence the roadmap and career objectives within the team.
• Deliver new features and iterate based on results.
• Drive projects from ideation to operations for customer use.

• Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Engage in on-call rotations and support team members.

Requirements

• Solid experience with at least one programming language (Go preferred, but Python, C, C++, Rust, or similar are acceptable).
• Experience in delivering projects from requirements gathering to product shipping.
• Experience in developing software for the Cloud or systems engineering.
• Proven ability to write clean, robust, and maintainable software.
