Senior Delivery Manager @Five9

Overview

The Senior Delivery Manager at Five9 is responsible for managing and optimizing the end-to-end process of software delivery and release management. This role involves ensuring the smooth delivery of products while managing complexities and risks associated with the release process.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement release schedules to meet deadlines and business needs.
• Manage the release pipeline and coordinate activities of development, QA, operations, and support teams.
• Oversee the full release lifecycle from planning to deployment and post-release support.
• Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize content for releases based on business objectives.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize business disruption.
• Communicate progress, blockers, and risks to stakeholders and provide regular updates on release status.
• Analyze release effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
• Oversee version control and configuration management processes.
• Manage and optimize release management tools to support an efficient release pipeline.

Requirements

• 7+ years of related work experience.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in complex environments.
• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) including CI/CD.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Expertise in Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
