Overview
Dropbox is seeking an experienced, strategic, and technology-forward Senior Director, Global Tax Reporting to lead the Company’s worldwide direct tax reporting function. This leader will be responsible for all aspects of global income tax accounting, reporting, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a multi-year vision and strategy for the Global Tax Reporting organization.
- Identify emerging tax, regulatory, business, and technology trends.
- Build the operating model and organizational capabilities to support Dropbox’s evolving business.
- Lead a high-performing team by establishing clear priorities and career development opportunities.
- Foster an AI-first culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Build partnerships across Finance and the business.
- Serve as a technical tax accounting leader and own the worldwide quarterly and annual income tax provision.
- Oversee Dropbox’s worldwide direct tax compliance function.
- Lead the transformation of Global Tax Reporting by embedding AI and automation.
- Own the global tax reporting control environment, ensuring SOX compliance.
- Lead tax support for external financial statement audits and maintain relationships with auditors and regulatory stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA and 15+ years of progressive corporate tax experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Experience leading global tax reporting and compliance for a multinational public company.
- Strong knowledge of worldwide direct tax compliance, tax accounting, and financial reporting.
- Excellent executive communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Experience leveraging generative AI, automation, and advanced analytics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Taxation, Accounting, or an MBA in Finance or related field.
- Big Four public accounting experience.
- Technology or SaaS industry experience.
- Experience with tax technologies like OneSource, Workiva, SAP, or Oracle.

- US Zone 1: $299,600 — $405,400 USD
- US Zone 2: $269,700 — $364,900 USD
- US Zone 3: $239,700 — $324,300 USD
