Docker is a globally distributed, remote-first company that provides developer tooling trusted by over 20 million users. They are seeking a Senior Director to lead their Information Technology Department as they scale rapidly.

Key Responsibilities

• Build a metrics-driven, business-focused IT organization, developing systems to serve internal customers.
• Contribute as a thought leader within the Central Operations & Systems leadership team.
• Assess and architect the applications footprint to ensure connected enterprise and trusted information flow.
• Develop relationships with technical leaders and business executives to understand and meet business needs.
• Create a multi-year strategy and roadmap for IT in alignment with company growth and technical debt management.
• Provide leadership through innovative advancements and technical expertise.
• Drive collaboration within teams for best practices and timely program execution.
• Ensure best-in-class service levels for IT productivity tools for employees.

Requirements

• 12+ years of global IT leadership experience, preferably in a fast-moving technology startup.
• Strong ability to conceptualize long-term business goals and develop processes to achieve them.
• Experience in converting high-level strategies into tactical plans.
• AI-and-automation-first mentality with a focus on consolidating systems and knowledge management.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
