Senior Engineer II, Data Products @Forter

Overview

Forter is looking for a Senior Engineer II to join their Data Products team, responsible for the data platform layer supporting Forter's core operations. The team develops and operates real-time data processing systems and quality pipelines, handling significant event loads in a scalable environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate Flink-based streaming pipelines at production scale.
• Own data quality and observability infrastructure, including schema contracts and alerting systems.
• Build and evolve knowledge base tooling for agents and engineers.
• Drive data integrity work, designing reliable recovery systems.

Requirements

• 7+ years of production backend or data infrastructure experience.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex systems.
• Deep experience with stream processing systems (Flink, Kafka) at production scale.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, focusing on correctness and reliability.
• Experience with data quality or observability infrastructure.
• Internal product mindset, treating served teams as customers.
