Senior Platform Engineer - Platform Metal | Ireland | Remote @Grafana Labs

Overview

Grafana Labs is the company behind Grafana Cloud, a fully managed observability platform trusted by over 10,000 organizations. They are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join their new "Metal" squad, responsible for building and provisioning resources including storage, networking, and Kubernetes clusters.

Key Responsibilities

• Management of the physical "Metal" environment from bare metal to Kubernetes.
• Management of cluster networking components such as load balancing, NAT, DNS, CNIs, and routing protocols.
• Management of scheduling and autoscaling.
• Maintaining Crossplane compositions and Terraform modules for common resources.
• Working with users to understand their needs and invest in the right capabilities.

Requirements

• Experience with distributed systems and remote-first company culture.
• Holistic approach to development, overseeing the full life cycle of code.
• Experience with Linux and datacenter operations.
• Familiarity with on-call rotations.
• Programming experience in Go, Python, and Shell.
